Ongoing - Palliative Care
Conceptualizing the integration of robotics systems and wearable devices in a growing, human problem space
Hackathon

This project is in development and does not represent my employer.
As part of SheBuild's International Women's Day Celebration, I was able to bring one of my old ideas to life. In the past, a close family member received home-centered palliative care before passing; the immense empathy, professional care, and support my family and I received prompted me to understand the field. With high-level requirements and hand-drawn prototypes, I used Lovable to envision the initial user flows of the experience.

Problem
How might we enhance the capabilities of palliative care workers to enable a personal, attentive experience to patient receiving palliative care at home?
(Anticipated) Outcome
Mobile-first interface for palliative care workers on the go to track patient needs, map their routes, and patient resources
Administrator controls for resource management and employee management
Wearable medical device data for monitoring and expedient consults
Human-robot interaction - inclusion of at-home robot assistants, modeled after the Pudu Robotics KettyBot and BellaBot Pro
Next steps include, but are not limited to: conducting user research with practitioners to validate/invalidate my assumptions, documenting the product requirements, developing finite state machines for the cross-platform interactions, and more.
AI Notice: this project utilized Lovable for the high-fidelity prototyping of the application and formalized documentation in GitHub. Please note that the requirements, low-fidelity prototypes, and other work were developed without the support of AI.

Lovable-curated view of high-level robotics fleet management for at-home robots. Use case: ability to make hands-free calls, provide hand-holds, and carry medication.

Lovable-curated narrative on monitoring patient vitals. Assuming HIPAA and PII access is addressed, this would enable palliative care specialists (often nurses) to address high priority issues as needed.

2026 KettyBot Pro from Pudu Robotics; similar form factors to what could be deployed to residential homes.
